I used this beach canopy last week on Cape Cod. The set-up was easy and quick. We had one day where we had sustained winds of 12 MPH and some gusts up to 21 MPH. I had used the little shovel that came with the canopy to dig holes into the sand to help provide better support and durability to the poles. The fabric did flap around a bit, but the tent poles never came out of the ground and the fabric didn’t detach or blow away. We did see other people with beach umbrellas and canopies that went flying across the beach due to the wind. I got this beach tent/canopy for an upcoming vacation that I have planned at the beach, which means, I haven’t yet set this up at the beach. So, at this point, this is my initial impressions of this beach tent and I’ll update the review and include pictures when I get back from my vacation. I took everything out of the box and was impressed by what comes with this tent. There is the tent, with ropes and sand bags already attached to the 4 corners, a shovel to fill the bags, 4 tent poles, and 4 tent stakes. Also included is another smaller bag that contains a beach blanket and 4 stakes for the beach blanket. I believe the beach blanket is made of nylon, so it is durable enough to handle your beach chairs, and the sand and water that will inevitably be tracked onto it. The nylon blanket when folded is very compact. This blanket will work for me, but if you’re looking for something soft to lay on, you might want to still bring your own blanket. All of this fits into a carry bag which keeps everything together. I have another beach tent that uses the same stretchy Lycra fabric. I know from experience that this fabric is great at the beach because it stretches and stands up to the wind. The tent poles are advertised as “robust aluminum poles”. They are aluminum, but I can’t comment on how robust or durable they are until I try them at the beach when the wind is blowing at the tent. My initial impressions of this WOFOLiFE beach tent is very positive, and at the price that was set when I ordered this, it’s an excellent value.
